| Los
Boliches is a pretty beach resort with much to offer. It has it's own high
street, daily produce market, a lively night scene with restaurants and
bars. Shopping facilities include a range of high street boutiques and larger
stores as well as the essential banks, post office, bakers, supermarkets,
chemists and newsagents. The fantastic, well maintained beach and promenade area will keep everyone in the party occupied and happy. A short walk along the promenade takes you to Fuengirola centre. Fuengirola is very well established as a holiday resort, with it's waterpark, zoo, marina, cinemas and the largest street market on the coast. You will never be short of choice. At the far end of Fuengirola you will find a historic castle (well worth a visit) and a large new shopping mall with its own cinema complex. If its sport you want, there are plenty of offerings including – tennis, watersports, waterpark, horse riding and several golf courses within 30 mins drive. Los Boliches and Fuengirola both provide everything you could want for a super holiday. EASTER WEEK - Beautiful flower laden processions through the streets with scenes depicting the crucifixion and the Madonna. OCTOBER is the local Feria. At lunchtime each day the shops and businesses close and the town becomes one big party. The Tapas Bars come to life, the 'Fino ' (dry Spanish Sherry) starts to flow, the horse and riders gather for the parade through the town center and then the party continues in the bars. Later in the evening, the fair ground comes to life. Flamenco dancing, fairground rides and side shows are in full swing until the early hours. |

Further afield, Andalucia has something for everyone, from history & natural beauty to sun and beach. The list of places to visit, sights to see and activities is endless. Here are just a few: – |
The white village of Mijas is easily reached by local bus. Here you may visit the Bullfighting museum, enjoy lunch on ‘the Balcon’, an area of Mijas with panoramic views of the coast. Later gently wander the narrow winding streets selecting souvenirs from the artisans along the way. Just a few stops from Los Boliches by train or bus is Benalmadena with its many attractions – Tivoli funfare and entertainments; cable car to a mountain top where there are donkey rides; Marina and Sea Life Centre; Dolphinarium in the beautiful Paloma park. Malaga
City also has a lot to offer. Take a short train ride from Los Boliches
and hop on the city tour bus that leaves at regular intervals from in
front of the train station - it couldn't be easier. See the Cathedral,
Picasso’s birth place & Museum, and much more. The tour bus
has audio in different languages to explain the local history. |
